A plant designed for customer service…

Cyclical and delivery-sensitive markets are a fact of life for our customers. However, our facility design accommodates these cycles, and helps us to better serve our customers. With three fully-integrated foundries on a 30-acre plant site, we're capable of producing castings from 50 lbs. to over 80,000 lbs. Our smaller BMM foundry produces castings in production quantities from mounted patterns in weights from 50-350 lbs. Our intermediate semi-production line produces castings from 300-2000 lbs. And we produce castings up to 80,000+ lbs. with loose pattern equipment. In all, we operate six induction furnaces with a total daily melt capacity of 150 net tons of all grades of gray and ductile iron. Our people know that it's our customer's customer who determines the delivery schedule, not our convenience.

Part of being better is anticipating the customer needs and acting on them. That's why we've embarked on an ambitious expansion program to meet you present and future casting needs. As a result, we've installed a state-of-the-art BMM (British Molding Machine) line with production capacity for 400 molds per day. We want to be your single-source supplier of high quality castings. You've know us primarily for our expertise in producing larger castings, but now we can offer you Automated Production of highly core, complex Green Sand castings in SMALLER sizes with weights ranging from 50-350 lbs. With the addition of two new furnaces and our new BMM line, we can produce over 400 castings per day with the same precise attention to quality that you've been accustomed to.

In keeping with our commitment to provide the highest quality castings to our customers, we are continuously upgrading all of our foundry processes and procedures. Our entire facility is certified to ISO 9001:2000 quality standards. You can be assured that when an Elyria Foundry casting hits your dock, it's ready for machining or assembly, without re-inspection on your part.
